Public Art Africa began with 20 students. The organization would connect students from various parts of Lagos with professional Nigerian artists to mentor them through a four-session program.

These artists set aside a month of their time to train and develop a curriculum in preparation to teach students how to create images that tell impactful stories.

This is the continued methodology of Public Art Africa.

With the help of mentors and volunteers, Public Art Africa sets out to provide young Nigerians and their African neighbors with access to resources and opportunities that focus on life skills, career readiness, and nation-building.
